New Punjab School Timings Announced after Summer Vacations.

The Punjab School Education Department has announced new school timings for all public schools in the province. These new timings will be in place until October 15, 2025.

The new schedule is being introduced as schools are getting ready to open again in most districts starting tomorrow.

The new timings are different for single-shift and double-shift schools. Here's a simple breakdown:

For Single-Shift Schools:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM

• Friday: 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM

For Double-Shift / Afternoon Schools:

• Morning Shift (Monday to Thursday): 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM

• Morning Shift (Friday): 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM

• Evening Shift (Monday to Thursday): 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

• Evening Shift (Friday): 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

The new schedule also includes specific timings for teachers. They are expected to stay for extra hours to plan lessons, attend training, and organize other activities.

The department has warned all District Education Authorities to make sure these new timings are followed strictly. Any school that does not follow the new rules will face legal action. For girls' schools, there is a 15-minute flexibility for both opening and closing times.
