PSX Achieves Historic Milestone by Closing Above 147,000 for the First Time.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed slightly higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 75 points, or 0.05%, to settle at 147,005 points compared to 146,929 a day earlier.

Trading activity was brisk, as 691.65 million shares changed hands — up from 611.20 million in the previous session — with a total value of Rs. 44.55 billion.

Out of 482 listed companies, 208 posted gains, 242 saw losses, and 32 remained unchanged. Yousuf Weaving led the volumes with 46.26 million shares at Rs. 6.09, followed by Kohinoor Spinning with 39.94 million at Rs. 6.47, and Invest Bank with 34.38 million at Rs. 9.68.

Among top gainers, PIA Holding Company Limited jumped Rs. 156.85 to close at Rs. 29,000, while Khyber Textile Mills rose Rs. 69.71 to Rs. 1,477. On the losing side, Nestle Pakistan fell Rs. 88.57 to Rs. 8,762.79, and Unilever Pakistan Foods slipped Rs. 79.40 to Rs. 32,020.61
